... and they agreed that the tree really belonged to everyone!
Set around an old oak tree,
two groups of children find themselves at odds with each other. As angry words halt their play, can the children find a way forward to share their special place and turn strangers into friends?
A heartwarming story about the value of teamwork, second chances and the healing power of a meaningful apology.

Got a minute (or so)?
Then here’s the “why” behind my new book 🌳 A Tree for Everyone 🌳 -a story that is inspired by memories from my own childhood — of carefree days spent climbing trees, playing silly games, and figuring out friendship and all that came with it.
But not all children get the same chance.
What gave me the push to write this story was thinking about the many children who are growing up without that simple, fundamental right to play and enjoy a childhood free from worry.
Play is not just about games or toys, it’s also about helping us discover who we really are. To me, all the children will be very much on my mind every time I share this story.
I really hope you and your little ones will enjoy this book. It’s for anyone who loves climbing trees or pretending to be pirates or astronauts, and … it’s a reminder that play is essential for learning, growing, and connecting with others.
I was lucky to have that.
Perfect for children aged 3–8 and their families, Kathy’s sessions encourage participation and opens up conversations around empathy, sharing, and working together.
